How is College Credit earned in CTE program?
 
College credit is earned through articulation agreements with Lakeland Community College and our high schools. Each program has their own articulation agreement with Lakeland and students can earn 3-19 college credits depending which program they are enrolled in.
 
5 Eligibility Requirements
  1. The student and high school teacher must sign a form called the ARTICULATION/TRANSCRIPT RELEASE FORM. This form allows the staff at Lakeland to get a transcript from a student’s high school in addition to listing coursework for which the student will qualify. This form is submitted it to the Lakeland College Tech Prep Consortium office by June 1.
  2. Complete and submit a Lakeland Community College Application. This is free of charge for students enrolled in our CTE programs.
  3. Successfully complete an approved high school CTE program with a GPA of B (3.0) or higher in each year the student is in the program.
  4. Submit an official final high school transcript to Lakeland Community College no later than August 1st.
  5. Successfully complete Algebra II while in high school.
