Friends of Rachel Club

Advisors:  Mr. Miller, Mrs. Petro
The three Mentor middle schools brought in  the Rachel's Challenge Program over the past few years to speak to our students and staff.  Rachel Scott was the first person killed in the Columbine High School shooting on April 20, 1999. Her unce, Larry Scott, shared with us Rachel's belief that "if one person will go out of their way to show compassion it will start a chain reaction of the same.  People will never know how far a little kindness can go.  You may just start a chain reaction."

Through this tragedy millions of students around the world have heard from this powerful program which focuses on students developing communities of kindness and compassion and mutual respect for one another.  ANY student is welcome to attend the FOR Club meetings and start their own chain reaction to make a difference in their families, school, and community!  Great things are happening through the active involvement of many of our students!

PLEASE JOIN US ON WEDNESDAYS IN THE CAFETERIA AFTER SCHOOL UNTIL 5:15 FOR FRIENDS OF RACHEL!!
