As instructional coaches in Mentor, we will
assist teachers as they implement the goals of Ohio 15 New Learning Standards and ELA Literacy Standards.
model effective instructional methods.
guide teachers as they increase their use of technology in the classroom.
provide resources for teachers to maximize student learning.
work with teachers as they differentiate their instruction.
assist teachers when they are creating classroom assessments.
help teachers become reflective about their craft as they identify their own instructional strengths and weaknesses.
offer specific and targeted feedback to teachers in order to help them grow professionally.
help teachers use data to drive their instructional practices.
assist PLCs and/or GLTs create, implement, and adjust their instructional goals.
Simultaneously, we will NOT
act as the “PLC Police” or otherwise “tell on” teachers to administrators.
serve as substitute teachers or provide class/duty coverage.
on an ongoing basis help teachers fix their computers and other such related things that IT is meant to do.
