Dear Mentor Schools Families & Staff,
I am writing to inform you that a threatening message was called into the Mentor Police Department this evening referencing “a school”, not specifically a Mentor school. After investigating, Mentor police officers have been able to determine that it was not a credible threat and that it is safe for us to operate the district tomorrow per usual. However, to be extra vigilant, we will have an increased police presence in our district tomorrow.
As you know, the safety of our students, staff and schools is our absolute number one priority in Mentor Schools. We value our partnership with the Mentor Police and Fire departments in implementing our safety measures. The “See Something? Say Something!” philosophy in our community continues to be key in maintaining a safe learning environment for our students.
I can assure you, our team will continue to take every precaution we can to ensure we provide a safe learning environment where students can grow academically, socially and emotionally in all of our schools.
