The weather outside has been frightful but the first half of the school year was delightful. Happy New Year and welcome to the second semester. The start of new semester is always an exciting time. It’s a fresh beginning and a new start for our students. The second semester is an obvious time to reflect on the first half of the school year, and an opportunity for students to set new goals.  I’ve challenged our students to work towards becoming the best version of themselves, improve their GPA, strive for success in the classroom, on the athletic fields, and to positively impact others.  I’m excited to witness our Ridge students’ accomplishments over the course of the next nine weeks.

The district’s recent announcement regarding facility changes has generated discussions in the Ridge hallways.  During my conversations with students, I hear time and time again that they are sad to leave Ridge but excited to begin their journey at a new middle school with the opportunity to meet new friends. Ridge has the tradition of cultivating AMAZING students and teachers. Although Ridge, as we know it, is coming to an end, the heart and soul of Ridge, the staff and students, is still ALIVE and vibrant. Many staff and students will change buildings next year, but we won’t be going alone. Students and staff will travel with a part of their Ridge family to their new locations.  Make Ridge proud!
