What is an integrated preschool?

School districts are mandated to provide an education to students ages 3-5 who qualify for special education. Mentor Public Schools provides this through an inclusion philosophy where typically-developing children are in each classroom with at least a 50% ratio.

Teachers/Staff and Ratios:
Each classroom includes a teacher with at least a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Special Education and a classroom assistant. The maximum number of students permitted in each class is 16.

The Creative curriculum was adopted by the Board of Education for use in the preschool classrooms. The curriculum is also aligned to the Ohio Early Learning Content Standards.
