Registration for the 2017-2018 school year will be February 3, 2017 at the Mentor Administration Building from 8-10:00 AM. The Mentor Administration Building is located at 6451 Center Street, behind the high school. Spots are limited, so it is on a first come, first serve basis and a parent or guardian needs to be there to register. The following information is needed to secure your child’s spot in the preschool.
You may complete the online registration for pre-school, but you must attend the in-person registration on February 3, 2017 between 8:00 and 10:00 AM to be considered for an open spot. Registration will be taken on a first come, first serve basis based on your arrival time for the in-person registration and NOT on the date you completed the online portion of the registration.

- Proof of residency in the form of:
- Current gas or electric bill
- Rental agreement or purchase agreement
- Custody papers (if applicable)
- Check for $100.00 made out to “Mentor Public Schools”

Teachers/Staff and Ratios:
Each classroom includes a teacher with at least a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and a classroom assistant. The maximum number of students permitted in each class is 12.
The Creative curriculum was adopted by the Board of Education for use in the preschool classrooms. The curriculum is also aligned to the Ohio Early Learning Content Standards.
What is an integrated preschool?
School districts are mandated to provide an education to students ages 3-5 who qualify for special education. Mentor Public Schools provides this through an inclusion philosophy where typically-developing children are in each classroom with at least a 50% ratio.
