Mentor High students win top honors in 2014 Congressional Art Competition
Mentor High students win top honors in 2014 Congressional Art Competition May 12, 2014 – Congratulations to three talented Mentor High School artists who earned top honors at the 2014 Congressional Art Competition, and now some of their work will hang in our Nation’s capitol. They are:

First Place: “Through the Green Glass” by Carolina Kane, 11th grade, Mentor High School

Second Place: “Pretty as a Peacock” by Katey Strader, 11th grade, Mentor High School

Fourth Place: “By the Sounding Sea” by Elizabeth Vanek, 11th grade, Mentor High School

Carolina's winning artwork will hang in the U.S. Capitol for one year, displayed alongside artwork from winners across the country. She will also be invited to an awards ceremony in Washington, D.C., in June. Katey's second-place entry will be displayed in Joyce's Washington D.C. office. Elizabeth's fourth-place entry will hang in the Twinsburg district office.
