September 15, 2014 -- Mentor Schools is joining more than 60 districts statewide in releasing a Quality Profile report today. The Quality Profile is a comprehensive, community-oriented companion to the Ohio Department of Education’s School District Report Card. It includes additional accountability measures that better define a high quality education and that are not included in the state’s Report Card.
The Quality Profile, designed by the Alliance for High Quality Education, examines the elements of a high quality public education, as defined by residents of the community. It still includes results on standardized testing measures, but the Quality Profile adds the important categories of Academics, Arts, Student Leadership and Activities, Fiscal Stewardship, Parent and Community Involvement and Student Services into the report.
Mentor Schools surveyed parents and our community over the summer to determine the factors our stakeholders value in education that are not measured on the State Report Card. The result is an expanded report that describes, in detail, the programs and values of our school system.
