October 11, 2017 -- The Mentor Board of Education voted unanimously to pass a resolution in support of Mentor Public Library’s tax levy renewal. The renewal levy is Issue 9 on the November ballot and will not increase taxes for our community members.
Mentor Public Schools and Mentor Public Library share a community that serves 61,000 residents of Mentor, Mentor-on-the-Lake, Concord Township and Kirtland Hills. The two entities share common goals of childhood literacy, information fluency, lifelong learning, connection to the online world and more.
“Mentor Public Library has been on the cutting edge of offering new and exciting services for its patrons and is open to anyone in our community who wants to take advantage of all it has to offer,” said Virginia Jeschelnig, Mentor Board of Education President. “Additionally, the library is under great leadership that has demonstrated not only a commitment to innovation, but to being good stewards of public funds as well.”
