Please join us for an important community event happening next Wednesday, December 2, at the Mentor Schools Fine Arts Center at 7:00 p.m. Rachel’s Challenge will be presenting the inspiring story of Rachel Joy Scott and her dreams to change the world.
As you may know, Mentor Public Schools has been a participant of Rachel’s Challenge over the past several years. Rachel’s Challenge is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating safe and connected school environments. The program is based on the life and writings of Rachel Scott, the first victim of the Columbine school shooting tragedy in 1999, and her quest to start a chain reaction of kindness and compassion in her community and beyond.
Rachel’s Challenge will be back visiting our middle schools and high school the week of November 1 to work with students and empower them to be kind to others. We believe Rachel’s Challenge is a great addition to our anti-bullying programs and are proud of the work that has been done over the past several years including the development of Friends of Rachel’s clubs at all of our middle schools and high school.
We are hopeful to have your support in spreading this important message. Please join us at the community event, December 2 at 7:00 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center.
