Travel Quarantine Guideline
Subject: Travel Quarantine Guideline
Dear Mentor Schools Community:
This message is to inform you that anyone who travels out of Ohio to a COVID-19 “hot spot” state will be highly encouraged to quarantine for 14 days before returning to school. This strong recommendation is for both students and staff and is in the best interest of safety for the entire school community. This decision was made in conjunction with the Lake County General Health District.
Hot spots are locations with a COVID-19 positivity rate of greater than 15%. You can view the map of these locations by clicking here on the Ohio coronavirus website’s travel advisory page. This map presents a very fluid picture, which could change quickly. Meaning you could go to a state that is not on the list, but if it turns to a hot spot while you are there, you should strongly consider quarantining upon your return home to protect others from your potential exposure.
Please contact your school office if you have any questions regarding this important announcement.
