Dear Parents/Guardians,

Mentor Elementary and Middle School students will soon have the chance to help save lives through the American Red Cross Future Blood Donor program! This program teaches elementary and middle school students about the importance of blood donation by sponsoring a blood drive as a school community service project.

Students will be requesting adults, like family, friends and community members donate blood on their behalf at an upcoming blood drive supported by our schools. For this program to be a success, we need your help! Please join us to help patients in need at this special back to school blood drive on Friday, September 5th at the Paradigm Building (6465 Center St.) from 12 - 5 pm. Every student who recruits at least one person to come out to donate at the blood drive will receive a fun appreciation item from the Red Cross.

Your donation can help the elementary or middle school that inspires the most donors to attend the drive earn the chance at an item of choice.

Presenting donors will receive 1 of 4 mystery tees with an iconic Red Cross x PEANUTS design, while supplies last!

We want our students to know how important their impact on the community can be. This experience will be a fun way to inspire our students to get involved in a service project, and the best part is knowing that they are helping save lives!

We want to help the Red Cross create a future generation of blood donors by getting students involved at a young age. If you are able, please support our school and our community by donating blood and recruiting blood donors to join you.

To schedule an appointment, at RedCrossBlood.org using, use sponsor code: MentorPublicSchools, call 1-800- RED CROSS, or schedule on the Blood Donor App. Thanks in advance for your support of the blood drive!
