We would like to thank the teachers, students, and parents for their part in making the best out of what has been a very difficult last couple of months. As we move into our sixth week of remote learning (learning taking place somewhere other than school), we wanted to ask for your feedback so we may better understand how to support everyone through these times.
For the last five years, the district has used BrightBytes (a trusted, secure, anonymous, 15 minute-or-less survey tool) to gather feedback around our district's technology initiatives. Because of remote learning, BrightBytes has adjusted the survey to provide information to help districts respond to the current needs of students, families, and staff members. Please take 5-10 minutes to provide us your thoughts by completing the survey. The first question asks whether you are a teacher, principal, HS/MS Student, Elementary Student, or Parent. Once you select this, you will then select with which school you are affiliated. You may take the survey more than once, e.g. if a parent has students at different schools or a staff member is also a parent in the district, etc...
Additionally, we need specific help from the following:
CLASSROOM Teachers (Grades 2-5) - Please share the link (https://bbyt.es/TM3GY33CQ) via SeeSaw, Classroom, or Schoology with your students sometime over the next week and encourage them to take the brief survey. (Note: We are not administering this in STEAM class this time.)
ELA/ENGLISH Teachers (Grades 6-12) - Please share the link (https://bbyt.es/TM3GY33CQ) via Schoology with your students sometime over the next week and encourage them to take the brief survey. We are asking that just the ELA/English teachers post to their students to avoid repetition of the link being shared with students.
Parents/Guardians - We would appreciate having as many parent perspectives as possible. Parents/Guardians, after you take the survey, please also encourage your children to take this brief survey.
The survey will be open from Friday, April 24th until Friday, May 8th. We will use the information we collect in order to adapt and adjust our remote learning plan.
