Drop-Off / Pick-Up School and Personal Items Information

Dear Parents/Guardians,

As restrictions begin to lift for businesses, and the leveling of the curve has continued for COVID-19 cases, we want to give students and parents the opportunity to return any school owned items and pick-up personal student items. We will do so as safely as possible.

Opportunities to pick-up/drop-off will be on a staggered basis for our students/families. We ask that you come to school on the day of the week designated for your child/student by using the beginning letter of your student’s last name:

May 22 last names A-E
May 26 last names F-J
May 27 last names K-O
May 28 last names P-T
May 29 last names U-Z

School administration and a few staff members will be available each day from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM for collection of school items and pick-up of personal items.

The goal would be to have no more than 20% of the student body present at any point in time during those days.  That alone will help us to achieve social distancing, which is vital to maintain everyone’s safety.

If you have a scheduling conflict and cannot come in on your assigned day, you may select another day; however, to keep our numbers balanced, I would simply ask that you email your building principal/assistant principal to schedule a different day.  If you do not have the means of getting to the building, a neighbor or friend may pick up for you as long as you give permission on a note and include your signature. Again, you can pick-up and drop-off items from * 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Personal items must be picked up by June 5th, unless you have made other arrangements with the building principal. Otherwise, after that date we will donate to local charitable organizations for items leftover.

The guidelines below are for pick-up/drop-off during these days:
  • Wear a face covering over your nose and mouth at all times if you are picking up personal items, for the safety and peace of mind of others who are doing the handling.
  • Do not stop by if you have any sickness symptoms.
  • Make sure you are fever-free for at least 24 hours.
  • Maintain a minimum of 6 feet from others at all times.
  • Do not plan to meet with teachers.  That can be done via Zoom/Google Hangouts. Teachers will not be in the buildings these days.
  • HS and MS students - Parents and students should remain in their car as they drop-off/pick-up items. We will have a traffic flow and staff will deliver/accept items.
  • Elementary - One family member with each student to pick up. No siblings please.
If you have further individual questions about access during these days, please reach out to your building principal.

Thank you for your help in making our return safe! Each school will pass along more detailed information about how the pick-up/drop-off is organized and will look.
