Mentor Basketball Association

FINAL SIGN-UP IS SATURDAY, OCTOBER 2ND:  The Mentor Basketball Association is dedicated to providing elementary boys and girls in the city of Mentor the opportunity to learn and enjoy the game of basketball.  We emphasize teaching the fundamentals of basketball, the spirit of sportsmanship and the thrill of competition.  For registration dates and more information, please see the attached flyer.

Mentor Ice Arena

ESC of the Western Reserve

Join the ESCWR Page Turners Program, a no-cost reading program for 3rd grade students to help them prepare for Ohio's Third Grade Reading Guarantee exam this fall   This is an in-person program beginning September 27th to October 25th, 2021.  For more information and a link to register, please see the attached flyer.  
 

Cardinal Circles

Cardinal Circles provides Mentor Schools' families with new ways to connect with one another and engage with the district.  Centered around affirmation, collaboration, and transformation, the program offers parents and guardians a chance to come together around their shared interests and experiences and to explore unique resources and opportunities.  For more information about Cardinal Circles and future events, please see the attached flyers below. 
 

Little Dribblers

The Little Dribblers Program is BACK!  All girls in grades K-3 are welcome to join in on the fun! Little Dribblers is a program that provides an opportunity for your daughter to enjoy the game of basketball with our high school coaches and players. We focus on the basic fundamentals such as ball handling, passing, form shooting, and jump stopping. The sessions are on Saturday mornings for one hour and parents are welcome to attend and watch. The cost is $30 which will include a youth basketball and t-shirt. Payments will be taken at the first session (cash or check) checks can be made out to Lady Cardinals Booster. Mentor Youth Wrestling Club

Wrestling teaches the importance of discipline, work ethic, leadership, and creativity with a positive attitude. The Mentor Youth Wrestling Club is open to children ages 5 to 12 (Grades Pre-K - 6th) residing in Mentor and neighboring communities.  Standard weight classes are between 45 and 175 pounds.  Registration is $120 per wrestler.  If you are registering more than one wrestler in your family, you will receive a $50 discount off the registration fee for two or more children, and total family fees will be limited to $190. 
 

Important Dates:

  • Parent Informational Meeting – Monday October 18 at 6:30 p.m. in the Paradigm at Mentor High School
  • First Practice – Practice begins the week of November 1st at Mentor High School Wrestling Room
