Dear Secondary Students and Families,
As we look ahead to the 2026-2027 school year, we would like to share information regarding summer reading assignments for students entering grades 6-12 next fall, including current 5th grade students entering middle school.
Summer reading helps students stay engaged with reading and avoid the “summer slide” that can occur during extended breaks from school. It also gives students a shared academic experience that helps English classes start the year strong.
Below you will find links to each grade-level summer reading assignment. Please click on your child’s specific assignment to review the full expectations, required texts, and any additional directions from the English Department.
