Board of Education Appoints Interim Treasurer

The Mentor Board of Education unanimously approved the appointment of Todd Puster as interim treasurer during its meeting Tuesday evening. Mr. Puster will begin serving the district on Thursday, October 1, following Bill Wade’s final day with Mentor Schools on Wednesday, September 30.

Mr. Puster brings more than three decades of experience in public school finance, including serving as treasurer/CFO for several Ohio school districts. Most recently, he served for 10 years as treasurer/CFO of Orange City Schools and currently works with the Educational Service Center of Northeast Ohio Shared Services Alliance, providing fiscal assistance and leadership consulting to school districts throughout Ohio.

“We are grateful to have someone with Todd’s extensive experience step in and provide leadership and continuity for our district during this transition,” Board of Education President Maggie Cook said. “We look forward to working with him and appreciate his willingness to serve Mentor Schools.”

We also thank Mr. Wade for his service to Mentor Schools and wish him the very best.

The Board of Education will begin the search process for Mentor Schools’ next permanent treasurer/CFO in the coming weeks. Additional information about that process will be shared as it becomes available.
