Media Center Access Email to Parents and Guardians

In July, our Board of Education passed a policy to provide parents/guardians with the ability to control what library/media center materials your student is able to access in our schools – via two choices - “Open” or “Reserved” (restricted) access. Also per the policy, regardless of access choice, all parents and guardians will receive email notification of any material checked out of the media center. Applications Sought for Mentor Public Library Board of Trustees

The Mentor Board of Education is seeking applicants for one Mentor Public Library Board of Trustees position. This trustee position would fill the remainder of a term that has opened due to a resignation. Library trustee terms are six years in length and this term expires December 31, 2027. The new trustee would begin immediately upon appointment.

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced the recipients of the Career Technical Education Equipment Grant Program on March 4, which will expand career tech access to students across the state.

Video: Feel the Excitement of our Kindness Rally with all 4th & 5th Grade Students!

The Kindness Rally is a student-led event designed to excite and inspire students to make a difference in their schools. We work hard to build a culture of kindness and compassion in all of our schools. Giving our younger students an opportunity to learn about leadership and promoting positivity from our older students is always a powerful tool. Kudos to our high school students and all the staff members for the hard work they put into this very meaningful event. Our kindness rallies are important to our bullying-prevention efforts and our goal to create a safe environment where students can learn and grow.
