Confirmed Coronavirus Case

A parent has reported to us that she has tested positive for the Coronavirus via the Cleveland Clinic and it has been confirmed by the Lake County General Health District. The individual tells us she is doing okay. We are sharing this with you because the parent was at both Orchard Hollow and Hopkins schools between March 6 and March 11.

As you know, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine closed school buildings for students until at least April 6.  But the reality is… this could last much longer. The Governor has publicly stated this remote learning situation could last through the end of the school year. Today, we want to provide several updates for you.

Coronavirus Disease 2019

We know there is a lot of concern swirling around the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) right now and its potential impact here in the United States and, more specifically, our own community. We have been in contact with the Lake County General Health District and are staying on top of information provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for advice and guidance. There are steps we can take to be vigilant and proactive in regard to health and wellness in our schools.
